Girls Football Training
by Olivia Smith - Friday, 23 March 2012, 7:48 AM
First training will be on Monday 3:30pm Lower Grounds. 100% attendance is expected unless you have talked to Mr Walker beforehand. Will not be too strenuous so those who have stuff later on needn't worry about being exhausted!
Honor will be coming out from Lincoln after school, hence the later start.
Hope to see you there!

Girls' Football Success
by BHS Admin - Wednesday, 31 August 2011, 6:50 PM

Congratulations to the Intermediate Girls' Football team, whose win in their Canterbury final at Hagley Park today earned another Winter Sports trophy for a Burnside High School sports team. As with the Basketball team featured earlier in the week, this team was unbeaten throughout the season, their winning streak capped off with today's 4-1 victory.

Congratulations to the girls (pictured below) and to their student coaches Hamish Barnett and Ben Geayley and manager Mr Bartlett.

The First XI Girls also played in their final today. Despite clawing their way back from 4-0 down in a dramatic 2nd half, they couldn't quite draw level, losing 4-3 to Villa Maria. However, the team can reflect on a successful season, which saw them placed 6th in the country at last week's Premier National Tournament - Burnside's best ever result.
