Apologies for being M.I.A this week, uni is getting back into swing and it has been a lot more hectic then i had originally planned but i plan to be back in full swing next week being the 24th - 28th Feb 2014
Some quick panui while im on here HOMEWORK CLUB !!!!!
Homework Club has changed, it will be now called Te Aho Matua and it will be held on a Thursday after school the place is yet to be confirmed but there will be some improvements made from last year .. so i look forward to seeing some old faces and meeting some new one
Also over the next few week i would like to organise a lunch maybe with each year level so keep an eye out for a panui coming round so we can get to know more about one another
Whanau Club - Reminder that there is also Whanau Club that is held every Friday lunchtimes in G5 . i encourage you all to get involve with it and meet new maori student within the school because it is so BIG !!!

Just a few reminders - Homework Club is back on this Thursday so feel free to come along and say hi . I hope to see more people there this term
Also there will be a powhiri held on Monday morning for ERO. You need to be at the Aurora Centre at 8.30am, and the powhiri will begin at 9.00am. The waiata we will be doing are Hei runga, tahu potiki and manu tiria

I would like to congratulate all the speakers who stood at the manu korero on Friday, also a big mihi to those students who stood to support them. I am very proud of you all.
I will see you Wednesday morning to go through what we have on for the end of term.

Thank you to those students who came in to perform at assembly this morning, you are awesome. Also a big MIHI to Oriwa who stood to speak at assembly yesterday, we have had a lot of great feedback and I am very proud of each and every one of you.
Class tomorrow, Ngamata will be taking this as I am away but will be back to watch speakers at lunch time Wednesday and Meeting at lunch time Thursday it will be brief.

Keep and eye and ear out for the Notices next week. It is going to be a busy week for all. Note there are changes to performance this week, we only have one on TUESDAY assembly.
Mon: Oriwa speaking at snr assembly. Wai, T.K and Oriwa to meet me Mon lunch time in student office to fit blazers.
Tues: Kapa Haka performance in assembly, report to Aurora at 8.00am ready to perform. Items are:

Wed: Class as usual, this will be taken by Ngamata as I am away. All speakers meet at Whare at lunch to run speach and impromptus.
Thurs: Meeting at lunch. This is a urgent Hui for students travelling to Manu Korero. If you cannot attend you need to notify Ms Coleman.
Fri: Manu Korero held at Aranui
A reminder that permission slips and money needs to be paid to student office on Friday the 28th June at the latest.
All Kapa Haka supporters travelling to Manu Korero you have practice tomorrow afternoon in the Whare and you also have a meeting in the Whare on Friday as well.
Maori Language week:
Mon 1st July - Oriwa Nicholas - Rakatau will be speaking at assembly
Tues 2nd July - Kapa Haka performance in South assembly
Wed 3rd July - Class as normal
Thurs 4th July - Kapa Haka performance in North assembly
Fri 5th July - Manu Korero trip to Aranui High School.
