We are proud to announce that Wenlin Zhang 13LLL is the first place winner of the Canon Eyecon Award High School section for 2016, a national photography competition held annually. This week Wenlin and Ms Dwyer met with Canon manager Ole Hansen and other prize winners to be presented with her awards. The judges were very impressed with her entry stating her work was ‘ brave, capturing a feeling, genuine, authentic, and has communicated emotions well. If she keeps shooting like this she can make it as a successful photographer’. Wenlin takes home significant prizes for her work including $3000 Canon dollars, an agency day with Canon’s creative agency, and a trip to Queenstown for an experience day at the Canon Centre for Creative Photography with photographers Jackie Ranken and Mike Langford. For our school she has also won $2000 Canon dollars, an inkjet printer and a photographer talk with a Canon mentor. Well done Wenlin.
