International Geography Olympiad (iGeo)

GeoWan Zhi Tay (12 Som) has been selected to represent New Zealand at the 11th International Geography Olympiad in Krakow, Poland from 12th -18th August 2014. The best 16 - 19 year old geography students from all over the world participate in this annual competition.

Wan Zhi competed with enthusiasm in the final selection round in Wellington and joins a team of four New Zealand students.

The iGeo consists of three parts: a written test, a multimedia test and a substantial field work exercise. The competition also includes scientific poster presentations by teams, cultural exchanges, and time for students to get to know their fellow students and explore the host city.

Congratulations on this outstanding success Wan Zhi!! We look forward to hearing updates as the competition draws near.
