Typhoon Haiyan hit the Philippines on the 8th of November at 4.30am. Thousands were killed and it is estimated that 5 million children have been affected. The local people are now facing issues to do with contaminated water and diseases caused by poor sanitation.
Burnside High School wants to help!
A Mufti Day will take place on Tuesday 3rd December to raise money for the Red Cross to use in the wake of this disaster.
Students are asked to bring a $2 donation although they are most welcome to bring more. This money will be collected during form time on the 3rd.
