On Monday 16th May the Year 13 Sport Leadership Class completed a
charity run to Akaroa.
As a group they ran 469kms averaging a half marathon each with
some students running over 30km! The two chosen charities
are The New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation and Prostrate Cancer
Foundation for New Zealand. They have raised around
$2000.00, however fundraising is continuing this term and
individual sponsors cash is yet to be tallied. They ran
numerous sausage sizzles on a Saturday and organised a Winnie
Bagoes Pizza Night. Thanks to everyone who supported these
students we are very proud of them.
