Burnside High School sent 2 teams (11 students) to Oamaru to represent the school in canoe polo against 18 other teams from around the South Island.
Over the weekend all players showed development and two players; Matt Patient and Georgia Van de Loo, were named for the tournament team which recognises the most impressive players at the tournament.
A huge thank you to Miss Symons (coach) who trained our teams, Miss Robison for her work in organising the teams, and Mr Smythe & Mr Johnston for taking players to Oamaru.
Schools canoe polo is starting back up in Term 4. If you are keen to be apart of this exciting sport get in touch with Mr Johnston (email@example.com) or Miss Robison (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Also NZ is doing really well in canoe polo, check out the clip of teams going to Italy!
